Profile
Kouei Yamaoka received the B.Sc. and M.E. degrees in information engineering and engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, in 2024. He is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include acoustic signal processing, signal enhancement, source localization, and asynchronous distributed microphone arrays.
He received the IEEE SPS Japan Young Author Best Paper Award in 2024, the Telecom System Technology Student Award in 2023, the IEEE SPS Tokyo Joint Chapter Student Award and the IEEE SPS Japan Student Conference Paper Award both in 2020, the Student Poster Award by Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) Speech Committee in 2019, and Student Presentation Award by ASJ in 2018.
Dr. Yamaoka is a member of IEEE, ASJ, and IEICE.
